PainterOS · Last updated October 31, 2026
PainterOS is an app for painting and home-service businesses to run their estimates, jobs, quotes, crew and customer messages. It works on top of the business's own GoHighLevel account. This page explains what the app collects, why, who helps process it, and how to delete it. We don't sell personal information and we don't show ads.
Who this covers
- People who sign in: business owners, office staff and crew.
- The business's customers, whose details the business keeps in GoHighLevel and the app, and who may open a quote, payment request or color preview link the business sends them. For customers, the business is in charge of their information; questions about it are best sent to that business.
What the app collects
- Your login: name, email, phone (used for password-reset codes), optional profile photo, and your password, which is stored only as a one-way scrambled hash.
- Business records: customers' names, phone numbers, emails and addresses; estimates, appointments and jobs; texts, emails and call recordings and transcripts between the business and its customers; quotes, prices, deposits and payments; job costs, receipts, crew pay and crew details. Most of this lives in the business's GoHighLevel account and is shown in the app; the app keeps its own copies of what it adds (costs, crew pay, payments, quotes it sent, photos, notes and short summaries).
- Photos taken or chosen in the app: job before/after photos, receipts, and house or room photos for color previews.
- Chats with the assistant (Jenna), including anything typed, said out loud or attached. Spoken words are turned into text by your phone or browser's own speech recognition before they reach the app.
- Device details: sign-in cookies, your light/dark and time-zone settings, and, if you turn them on, a push-notification address for your phone. The app does not track your location.
- Error reports: when something breaks, a technical report of the error (which screen, what went wrong) so it can be fixed.
Why it's used
Only to run the app for the business: show the schedule and customers, send the texts, quotes and payment requests the business asks for, work out job costs and profit, answer questions in the assistant, make color previews, warn about rain on outdoor jobs, notify the team, keep the service secure (for example, limiting sign-in attempts), and fix problems.
Services that help run the app
These companies process data for us, only to provide their part of the service:
- GoHighLevel: the business's CRM, where customers, conversations, calendars and pipelines live, and which sends the business's texts and emails.
- Vercel (hosting) and Turso (database): where the app runs and keeps its records.
- Anthropic (Claude): the assistant, reading receipts, and summarizing conversations and calls.
- Google (Gemini): making color preview images from the photos you choose.
- ElevenLabs: the assistant's spoken voice, when that voice is turned on.
- GitHub: encrypted nightly backups of the app's database.
- Sentry: error reports, when error alerts are turned on.
- The National Weather Service: forecasts for a job's town (only the town is sent).
- Your phone's maker (Apple or Google) delivers push notifications, and opens directions in the maps app you choose.
How long it's kept
- Business records are kept while the business uses the app, or until the business deletes them.
- Links sent to customers (quotes, payment requests, color previews) stop working after one year.
- Database backups are kept for 90 days, encrypted.
- Sign-in sessions end when you sign out, change your password or delete your account.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings and tap Delete my account. Your login, name, phone, photo and notification settings are deleted right away and you're signed out on every device. Records you added for the business (such as a cost or a payment) stay with the business, without your name on them. Encrypted backups that still contain your details are deleted as they age out (within 90 days). A business that stops using the app can ask us to delete all of its records.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as hashes, connection keys for GoHighLevel are stored encrypted, each business sees only its own records, crew see only the jobs they're on, and backups are encrypted with a key only the owner holds.
Children
The app is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Questions or requests: contact the business that invited you to the app.
